About Us

OSF Holy Family Medical Center is a 23-bed acute/intermediate care, Critical Access Hospital. It is located in a rural service area of approximately 27,000 people and is owned by OSF Healthcare System, a not-for-profit corporation recognized under Section 501 C (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Hospital is located in Monmouth, Illinois, the county seat for Warren County. The Hospital serves a population located within a 30-mile radius of Monmouth, including Warren and Henderson Counties and parts of Mercer County. Warren County has a population of 18,735 and Henderson County has a population of 8,213. The service area has a high population of elderly (4% above the national average of people age 65 or older). The principal occupations of the area are agriculture, light industry, education and small retail businesses. The three leading causes of death are cardiovascular disease, cancer and accidents. Warren County has the highest death rate caused by cardiovascular diseases in the State of Illinois, with 56.9% of deaths in Warren County being attributed to heart disease and stroke. The vast majority of people are Anglo-Saxon; less than 3% are Hispanic and African-American. Two of the languages spoken are English and Spanish. The Hospital census averages approximately 60% geriatric patients.

The OSF Holy Family Clinics are staffed by several physicians, physician assistants, and a team of nurses and support staff.

Patient Advocacy Program

OSF Holy Family Medical Center continually strives to meet the health care needs of our community.  We provide new and appropriate services through patient surveys, focus groups, continuous quality improvement studies, and our Patient Advocacy Program.

The OSF Holy Family Patient Advocacy Program provides a liason between patients and the hospital staff.  It assists patients in interpreting the hospital's policies and procedures.  The Patient Advocate visits with our patients to ensure their hospital stay is as pleasant as possible.
