OSF Holy
Family Medical Center Long-term Care Unit is your home for
long-term care in a hospital setting. It is home to two types of
guests: Long-term Care residents and Respite Care visitors.
Long-term
Care
OSF Holy Family Medical Center Long-term Care residents reside within
the unit on a long-term basis. We have a total of 45 beds for long-term
care residents who need assistance with their daily living skills.
Our goal for the long-term care resident is to provide the care
and treatment necessary for each person to live as full and independent
a life as his or her condition allows in a homelike environment.
Respite
Care
OSF Holy Family Medical Center
Respite Care visitors come for a temporary stay while the family
caregiver takes a break. Respite breaks offer the caregiver the
opportunity to revitalize their energies and can strengthen a family’s
ability to care for the family member at home. The length of a respite
visit can vary from a couple of days to a few weeks.
We would be
delighted to give you a tour of our facility. For additional information
or to arrange a visit to the OSF Holy Family Long-term Care Facility, call 309-734-1408.
We will be happy to explain our services to you and perhaps provide
care for you or a loved one.
We are Licensed
by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).

family room. Our residents enjoy watching the friendly birds in
the aviary in one of our dining rooms and we have two protected
gardens that can be enjoyed year-round.
The
OSF Holy Family Medical Center Auxiliary provides many amenities that add to the quality
of our residents' lives. Mail is delivered each day and letters are
read to those in need of this service. OSF Holy Family volunteers also fill ice
water pitchers, mend clothing items in need of repair, make centerpieces
for tables in the dining and activity rooms, visit with residents on
a one-on-one basis and provide manicures, as needed. Our volunteers
also assist in the daily and weekly planned activities, such as serving
as BINGO callers and hosting the Coffee Club.
The OSF Holy Family Chaplains
Association addresses the spiritual concerns of our patients, regardless
of denomination. Volunteer chaplains regularly visit with residents,
conduct Bible studies, and provide weekly worship services.
